From Valmeinier, Valloire: From Grenoble, take the A41 then the A43; from Chambéry, take the A43, as far as the "Saint-Michel de Maurienne" exit. In Saint-Michel de Maurienne, follow signs for "Valmeinier-Valloire". From Orelle: From Grenoble, take the A41 then the A43; from Chambéry, take the A43, as far as the "Saint-Michel de Maurienne" exit. In Saint-Michel de Maurienne, follow signs for "Orelle" and stay on the D1006 for 6 kilometres. From Valfréjus: From Grenoble, take the A41 then the A43; from Chambéry, the A43, as far as the "Modane" exit. In Modane, follow signs for "Valfréjus".

Italian border
Via the Vallée Etroite, Hautes-Alpes (on the Italian border)
From France, reach Bardonecchia (Italy) via the Fréjus tunnel (Modane) or the col du Montgenèvre (Briançon). From Turin, reach Bardonecchia. Then follow signs for "Melezet-Vallée Etroite" ("Valle Stretta") to the head of the valley. In winter, park your car at Pian del Colle. In summer only, from the Clarée valley, head for the col de l'Echelle. At the foot of the pass, turn left to enter the Vallée Etroite.

Through the Clarée Valley, Hautes-Alpes
From Briançon, head towards the col du Montgenèvre. At the foot of the pass, turn left towards the "vallée de la Clarée" to reach Névache. From Italy, cross the col du Montgenèvre. At Les Alberts, enter the Clarée valley and continue to Névache. In summer only, from Bardonecchia (Italy), take the col de l'Echelle to reach Névache.

Through the Guisane Valley, Hautes-Alpes
From Briançon, head towards the col du Lautaret. Several possible starting points: col du Granon, Monetier-les-Bains, Pont de l'Alpe. From Grenoble, follow signs for Briançon (RN94). Cross the col du Lautaret to reach Pont de l'Alpe, Monetier-les-Bains or the col du Granon.
