Refuge Laval

Part of the hamlet of the chalets de Laval at an altitude of 2010 m, the completely rebuilt chalet-style municipal refuge welcomes you in a friendly, family atmosphere. Capacity of 38 beds spread over 6 dormitories upstairs; on the ground floor, a dining room dominated by a beautiful "Tulikivi" masonry stove, bathroom facilities with hot showers, and a drying room running on the refuge's pico-hydro plant that will dry your clothes and (ski) boots in winter and summer alike. The refuge will be your base camp for all your excursions in this bright Clarée valley, and after the effort comes the comfort!!!!! You can recharge your batteries while enjoying simple, generous cooking made of little dishes and tasty home-made desserts.

Winter: From the car park in Névache Ville Haute, along the snow-covered road (3 hrs) Summer: Before 8 am, by car via the road to the car park at Laval. The refuge is 200 metres down the road, nestling behind the rocks. Otherwise, after 9 am, take the shuttle bus to the car park in Laval, which is at the end of the road.

You must bring your SLEEPING BAG LINER, known as a "sac à viande", and a pillowcase as well as your toiletries. Crocs are provided. ♦♦ Hiking rucksacks are not allowed up in the dormitories. Please be reasonable when packing your bag for your stay. ♦♦ Stay of 4 days max at the refuge. ♦♦ ⚠ IMPORTANT Information ⚠ As of now, luggage transport by Taxi or Agency will no longer be accepted, for reasons of Management, Ecology and Respect for the Environment, and also to keep the MOUNTAIN spirit in our refuge! thank you for your understanding. ♦♦ BIVOUACKING is not permitted around the refuge; tents must be pitched 1 hr's walk from any road access. ♦♦ For everyone's well-being, pets are not allowed in the refuge.
